Ashby Inn

Fodor's Review:

If there's a recipe for a perfect country inn, Jackie and Charles Leopold have it. Head an hour west from D.C., and your reward is extraordinary comfort food. Dishes are made with the freshest local ingredients and presented in an intimate setting. Try the arugula salad with just-picked greens from the inn's garden. The roasted chicken, the first item the Ashby ever offered, remains sublime. Sunday brunch is from noon to 2:30.
