Bohemian Caverns

Fodor's Review:

The low-ceiling stairway delivers you to a performance space made to look like a cave, a complete and accurate renovation of the Crystal Caverns, once a mainstay of D.C.'s "Black Broadway" and the place to see Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong. These days Friday and Saturday are given over to jazz; blues acts headline on Thursday; and open-mike night on Wednesday brings jazz-influenced poets to the stage.
