Fodor's Review

One of the most venerable restaurants in the city is located adjacent to the hotel that once helped coin the phrase "lobbyist" for its lively ground-floor social scene. The kitchen's walls are covered with photos of politicians and other notables who have come here for the food and the attentive service. Toplining the menu are New American standards such as roasted rack of lamb, seared scallops and short ribs done "surf and turf" style, and crab cakes. Brunch is particularly strong in the pastry department.
