Fodor's Review

On a block in Adams Morgan where restaurants seem to open and close weekly, La Fourchette has stayed in business for 35 years by offering good bistro food at reasonable prices. Most of the menu consists of daily specials such as salmon with spinach mousse or crab-stuffed chicken in beurre blanc alongside a cast of French standbys such as veal tongue in mustard sauce. This place looks as a bistro should, with an exposed-brick wall, a tin ceiling, bentwood chairs, and vaguely Postimpressionist murals.
