Fodor's Review

A DJ spins tunes in the living room–style lobby; an oversize flat-screen TV near the doorway broadcasts an image of a flickering fireplace; rooms contain ultramodern furnishings—every detail here screams urban chic, and does so with style. Despite the hotel's Manhattan-hipster vibe, it is impossible to forget that you are in D.C.: floor-to-ceiling windows in the award-winning J&G Steakhouse offer spectacular views of the Washington Monument, and the view of the

White House from the exclusive P.O.V. rooftop bar lounge is fabulous.

Where Hip Parents with Kids Stay

As with all W Hotels, this is a great spot for the young, single and beautiful. The secret is that it's a great Hotel for lively parents that want to comprise a family trip with funky fun as well. My kids 7-19 equally appreciated the ambience and car service to the mall. I enjoyed the club conviently located upstairs after all were asleep. Easy access to WHite House, monuments and museums.
