Lebanon

Lebanon

Lebanon is a quiet town known for its expansive town green stretching 1 mi head to toe and for the Trumbulls: Revolutionary resident Jonathan Trumbull was royal governor of the colony of Connecticut. He was the only Colonial governor to side with the Continentals and provided highly valuable food supplies to the starving soldiers in the winter of 1780. President George Washington is said to have written in his diary, "No other man than Trumbull would have procured them and no other state could have furnished them."
