Silo at Hunt Hill Farm Trust
Silo at Hunt Hill Farm Trust Review
The former property of the late Skitch Henderson, onetime music director of NBC and the New York Pops, consists of several attractions in the old buildings of two farms dating back to the 1700s. Inside a barn is the Silo Store, packed with objets de cookery, crafts, and assorted goodies and sauces; the Silo gallery presents art shows and literary readings; and the Silo cooking school draws culinary superstars to teach cooking classes between March and December. The Skitch Henderson Living Museum focuses on Henderson's collections of musical memorabilia, including rare recordings and scores, as well as other items as diverse as the Steinway he used at NBC and an antique marble soda fountain.
