Whaler's Inn Review

A perfect compromise between a chain motel and a country inn, this complex with public rooms furnished with lovely antiques is one block from the Mystic River and downtown. The motel-style guest rooms feel Victorian, with quilts and reproduction four-poster beds—the best rooms have deep whirlpool baths. Bravo Bravo serves well-prepared Italian dishes, including veal medallion stuffed with garlic, spinach, and cheese in a shiitake-mushroom sauce.
