Fodor's Review

Rooms at the cushy Saybrook Point Inn are done up in 18th-century style, with reproductions of British furnishings and Impressionist art. Many have fireplaces, making them especially cozy on cool evenings. The pools overlook the inn's marina and the Connecticut River, and a full-service spa offers Swedish-style aromatherapy, sea-clay facials, and a nice range of salon treatments. The seasonally inspired Fresh Salt, which sits on the river, serves locally sourced cuisine.
