New Haven Green
New Haven Green Review
Bordered on the west side by the Yale campus, the green is a fine example of early urban planning. As early as 1638, village elders set aside the 16-acre plot as a town common. Three early-19th-century churches—the Gothic-style Trinity Episcopal Church, the Georgian-style Center Congregational Church, and the predominantly Federal-style United Church —contribute to its present appeal.
