Groton

Home to the Naval Submarine Base New London (the U.S. Navy's first) and to the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, designer and manufacturer of nuclear submarines, Groton is often referred to as the "submarine capital of the world." The submarine Nautilus, a National Historic Landmark, is a major draw, as is the Submarine Force Museum.
