Fodor's Review:

Sleek and sophisticated are words best used to describe this wildly popular tavern in the heart of Chester. The emphasis here is on freshness, so the menu changes frequently. Favorites have included a chanterelle-mushroom tart, Niman Ranch pork, and T-bone steak topped with roasted figs -- an unexpectedly successful marriage.

A wonderful place to dine and have fun!

The River Tavern is a delight in every way. Best of all is the food. The menu is interesting, the food exceptional, and the service excellent. It is small so you need reservations. The Lemon Drop martini is my favorite! Great decor. You will not be disappointed.
