Dinosaur State Park

Fodor's Review:

Dinosaurs once roamed the area around Dinosaur State Park, north of Middletown. You can still see some 500 tracks, dating from the Jurassic period, 200 million years ago, preserved under a giant geodesic dome. You can even make plaster casts of tracks on a special area of the property; call ahead to learn what materials you need to bring.

  • Open: Exhibits Tues.-Sun. 9-4:30, trails daily 9-4:30
