A life-size walk-through replica of a 60-foot sperm whale greets patrons at this museum, formerly known as the Science Center of Connecticut. In West Hartford, 5 mi west of downtown, the museum has a wildlife sanctuary and real-life images "beamed" in from NASA, plus an exhibit on rocks and fossils that will make a geologist out of your little one.
