As wonderful as the Copper Beech Inn's formal restaurant is, the hipper and more relaxed brasserie—which opened in 2006—may just be the true gem, given its fantastic value, superbly authentic fare, and delightful outdoor seating in warm weather (on a porch overlooking the inn's extensive gardens). You could make a night of the cheese and charcuterie plates, plus a selection of fresh oysters on the half shell. Or opt for more substantial fare, such as prosciutto-wrapped cod over polenta, or classic steak frites. Pip's chic cocktail bar makes its own flavored vodkas—such as blood-orange-and-coriander—to prepare memorable martinis.
