Fodor's Review

Down-to-earth yet luxurious, this family-oriented hotel offers excellent amenities and is one of Vail's only true ski-in ski-out places to stay. Despite its size, it manages to remain intimate. Rooms reflect a "mountain eclectic" style, not that you'll notice if you score a room with a balcony facing the mountain. Additional views can be enjoyed from the infinity pool overlooking Gore Creek and a bike path. In-house restaurant Atwater on Gore Creek has garnered acclaim for its outstanding grilled foods and fine selection of wines. You'll have access to the adjoining Aria Spa & Club and the full-service health club with racquetball, squash, and basketball courts. The best deals at any time of year are the packages, which might include lift tickets in winter—the ski lift is on-property—or sports massages and bike rentals in summer.
