Fodor's Review

The stone-and-timber resort crowns Beaver Creek Mountain above the bustle of Vail Valley like one of King Ludwig's Bavarian castles. Inside this imposing hotel are all the amenities any royal might desire—panoramic views from most rooms, stone fireplaces in more than a third, and high, plush beds in all. When you're finished hiking or skiing (or grow tired of gazing out at your kingdom from a balcony), head to the 21,000-square-foot spa and fitness center for a dose of bottled oxygen at the fresh-air lounge or a dip in the cascading grotto hot tub. Spago, Slopeside, and Buffalos are restaurant and bar destinations in their own right.

Nice stay

This is a nice resort located in a gated community above Avon. The resort is structured to look like a park lodge. We received a free upgrade in our room because of a mistake made in reservations. The suite was one of the best we have stayed in. I loved waking up in the mornings walking around this property. The only negative thing about this property is that the food is way over priced (a club sandwich will cost you twenty dollars) but the hotel

does offer a free shuttle to Beaver Creek where the food is much cheaper. You could also stop at a supermarket before arriving and get some sodas and other things you might want. Overall we loved our room and the setting around the hotel we just wished we had prepared for the food situation before hand.

nicest spot in Colorado

One of the nicest spots in Colorado if not the whole country. I have stayed in several Ritz-Carletons and been a little dissapointed but not Bachelor Gultch. Far exceeded my expectations and my expectations very very high.
