The Red Snapper Review

If you're in the mood for fresh fish head to The Red Snapper, Durango's best seafood spot. There are the seafood "musts"—lobster tail, Alaskan king crab legs, and the like—as well some interesting twists, such as lobster pot pie and orange bourbon salmon. The "landfood" dishes hold their own too (try the one-pound prime rib or, for smaller appetites and budgets, the creamy chicken diablo). The salad bar is enormous and a good value at $11. It features a few main-course options and comes with potatoes, wild rice, or soup. Reservations are recommended.

Phenomenal restaurant! Spectacular Service and the Food...Best in DURANGO!!

WOW!! What a phenomenal restaurant! The service was spectacular and the food...Best in DURANGO!!! We really enjoyed the atmosphere with the large fish tank and aquarium. Our table was located next to the open kitchen - which gave us great pleasure to watch the chefs as they prepared our dinners. Our server was very busy although she was more attentive than I have ever experienced! Our meals were beyond belief -5 star qualities in taste and appearance! Of course I cannot forget dessert - literally to DIE for! We ordered their ‘signature’ dessert…Death By Chocolate with cappuccinos. I have never seen a dessert so BIG and our server made our cappuccinos with hearts designed in the foam. We Loved the Red Snapper will be back soon!

    Managed to get everything wrong

Hungry to sea food we headed to the 'Red Snapper', we totally regretted it. It's expensive (over 40$ a person excluding wine) and the food is institutional in taste and presentation. the decor is cheap, huge plastic fishes are hanging on the walls with vivid colors. the owners must thought it will give the underwater atmosphere, but its just added to the overall nausea we got from the food.
