You won't be roughing it at this all-inclusive retreat, a high-end property that's among towering stands of aspen north of Steamboat near Clark. With a magnificent fieldstone fireplace surrounded by plush leather armchairs and sofa, the main room couldn't be cozier. The dining room, where the chef turns out tasty Southwestern fare, has soaring ceilings and wonderful views. Accommodations are in the main lodge or in individual cabins with terraces and private hot tubs.
The style leans toward Native American rugs and prints, lace curtains, terra-cotta tile or hardwood floors, and stenciled walls. A seven-night minimum stay is required in the summer; adults-only weeks are available in the fall.

This is one of the most unique and outstanding Relais & Chateaux properties we have ever stayed at. The accomodations are perfectly appointed, private and cozy. The food is gourmet. The staff is incredibly knowledgable, friendly and lots of fun. No pretense or airs here! The emphasis is on equestrian activities as it is a real working horse ranch, however my husband and I are not horseback riders and thoroughly enjoyed every day just taking in the
surroundings and natural facilities. There are also plenty of planned activities to choose from if you wish to participate. The separate children's program is particularly thoughtful as romantic twosomes such as ourselves did not have to compete with roudy family intrusions. This place is pure pleasure and a must do for anyone who loves the idea of a ranch experience without the hardships!
