Plush, high-back chairs invite visitors to relax in the spacious lobby of this hotel that lives up to its name. A private-club look dominates the hotel's main restaurant, and an old-fashioned charm characterizes the rooms, although recent updates, including new artwork, furniture and re-tiled bathrooms, have given the rooms a fresher, more-modern feel. There is also a recently completed cardio-oriented fitness center on-site. Pros: you can't beat the views, they will store your bike for you, the price is right. Cons: the breakfast buffet is terrible, service is hit or miss, children are allowed to run rampant.
