This airy eatery in Silverpick Lodge is known for providing "the best steaks on the mountain," topped with incredible au poivre, which it does with aplomb. It also serves up the best views of thick aspen groves. There are several excellent seafood, fish, and wild game options, as well as imaginative small plates, a boutique international wine list, buffalo bone marrow, and blackened quail. It's well worth the drive up the mountain. Just note that Sow's Ear may be closed some Saturdays in summer for weddings.
