When you want fine food in a relaxed atmosphere, head to Laughing Ladies, where you'll dine at a linen-covered table set on a century-old oak floor surrounded by exposed brick walls. Colorful oils, watercolors, and ceramics by local artists adorn the walls. The menu changes seasonally, but some of the more-popular dishes include whiskey BBQ duck with corn-bread pudding and a sweet corn salsa; the double-thick honey-grilled pork chop with yams and ancho chili glacé; and the house-smoked salmon with basil corn cakes. Laughing Ladies has the largest wine selection in the area. Reservations, suggested year-round, are essential on summer weekends.
