Museum of Colorado Prisons

Museum of Colorado Prisons Review

Introduce yourself and your kids to what life is like behind bars at the Museum of Colorado Prisons, which formerly housed the Women's State Correctional Facility and where many of the exhibits are housed in cells. The museum exhaustively documents prison life in Colorado through old photos and newspaper accounts, as well as with inmates' confiscated weapons and contraband. The gas chamber sits in the courtyard. Many parents bring their children to this museum, but it might be disturbing for young kids.
