Museum of Colorado Prisons

Fodor's Review:

Morbid curiosity seekers and sensationalists will revel in the Museum of Colorado Prisons, which formerly housed the Women's State Correctional Facility. Now it exhaustively documents prison life in Colorado, through old photos and newspaper accounts, as well as with inmates' confiscated weapons and contraband, and one warden's china set. There's also a video room where you can view titles such as Prisons Ain't What They Used to Be and Drug Avengers. The gas chamber sits in the courtyard. This museum is grim, grisly, gruesome, and fascinating.
