Highland Haven Creekside Inn

Fodor's Review:

Walking distance from downtown Evergreen, the inn has a combination of luxurious rooms, suites, and cottages ($$$$) set alongside Bear Creek, where guests can go trout fishing. Look for amenities such as flat-screen TVs, gourmet breakfasts, fireplaces, and Jacuzzisin the luxury rooms and cabins which offer a lot of privacy. Denverites have rated Highland Haven as "the top place to pop the question" and "the top mountain secret" in different issues of 5280, the main Denver magazine. Pros: ideally located for travelers who want to stay in a mountain town, but be 35 minutes from downtown Denver or Georgetown; quiet; you might even see a celebrity or two. Con: you'll have to stroll into Evergreen or drive for dinner.
