12th Street Review
Golden's 12th Street, a National Historic District, has a row of handsome 1860s brick buildings.
Golden History Museums. Three properties—the Astor House, the Golden History Center, and Clear Creek History Park—have combined under the name of Golden History Museums, and are all available on a $5 combination ticket. The Astor House Museum, which explores the material culture and local life of the era, is a restored late-Victorian-era Western hotel and boardinghouse. 822 12th St., 80401. 303/278-3557. www.goldenhistorymuseums.org. $5.
