Badger House Community Review

A self-guided walk takes you through a group of four mesa-top dwellings. The community, which covers nearly 7 acres, dates back to the year 650, the Basketmaker Period, and includes a primitive, semi-subterranean pit house and what's left of a multistoried stone pueblo. Allow about an hour to see all the sites. The trail is 2.4 mi round-trip; if you take the tram from the Wetherill kiosk, you'll save a mile of walking.
