Far View Visitor Center Review

You can't miss this cylindrical brick building on the east side of the road in the Far View complex, but you actually must park across the street and walk through the tunnel under the road to reach it. Stop here first and buy tickets for the Cliff Palace, Balcony House, and Long House ranger-led tours. When deciding which tour to take, you can pick the less-crowded ones; computer screens show the number of available spaces left for each. This center also has a gift shop, viewing platform, and museum. An extensive selection of books, maps, and videos on the history of the park are available, and rangers are on-hand to answer questions and explain the history of the Ancestral Puebloans.
