While it bills itself as a more affordable steak house, and that may technically be true, it's easy to spend just as much here as at any other top-tier steak joint. Still, it's worth it, because the hand-carved, aged Black Angus beef is of high quality, well grilled, and accompanied by stellar sides such as gooey macaroni-and-cheese and chunky mashed potatoes. The wood-lined barroom is filled with high tables and makes for a fun gathering place, especially when there's
live jazz. It's reminiscent of a 1940s club.
