This Ramada is within walking distance of the capitol, as well as nine blocks east of downtown and the 16th Street Mall, and it's one of the few reasonably priced lodgings left so close to the heart of downtown.The spacious rooms in varying shades of brown and beige are filled with prints of Colorado landscapes, and the lobby is dominated by comfy leather couches. There's also an outdoor pool and a small but serviceable fitness center.

- not the safest part of Colfax Avenue late at night
