Decorated to resemble an old English inn, the Gregory in the Curtis Park neighborhood captures old-world charm through the use of mossy colors and exquisite linens and accents. All of the rooms, each distinctive and luxurious, have private baths, and many have small sitting rooms. There's also a sumptuous carriage house, which contains a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and dining and living areas. Breakfast is served each morning in the dimly lighted, soothing Gathering Room. Pros: a few blocks removed from downtown's bustle, pretty setting, excellent breakfasts. Cons: extra blocks from downtown center mean more walking, no young children.
