Fodor's Expert Review Il Posto
The menu, written on a chalkboard on the wall, changes daily at Il Posto (The Place), where chef-owner Andrea Frizzi cooks intricately layered Italian dishes based on what's fresh, often from local farms. Get anything with foie gras, nasturtiums, or fennel—all of which can be easily paired with the eatery's focused and well-priced Italian-only wine list. Within the posh, multilevel digs in the RiNo neighborhood, diners can choose to sit in one of the dangerously comfortable semicircular booths on the main level or in the swanky seating on the mezzanine. Two risotto dishes are offered daily, along with a handful of pastas, a few fish dishes, and one or two meat-based meals. The oversized communal table is an inviting place to make new friends.
