Why We Like It
The size of the property makes it easy for everyone to get what they need. Business travelers will appreciate the on-site UPS Store and multitude of workstations, scattered throughout the hotel. Families will find the Hilton Denver City Center immensely child-friendly. The hotel also offers a large number of accessible rooms, designed specifically for those with hearing and mobility needs, with amenities not found in most properties, including a pool hoist.

After a multi-year, multi-million dollar renovation was completed at the end of 2017, the 613-room property became the Hilton Denver City Center. Housed in the lower 20 floors of a 43-story building, the hotel’s financial district location keeps the business traveler in mind but, with other downtown amenities within mere blocks, the needs of leisure and family travelers are taken care of too.

Room
Every inch of the hotel, including each guest room, was updated during remodel. Room decor is warm and earthy, with natural wood elements incorporated into tabletops and wallhangings. Rooms include mini-fridge, ergonomic workstations, safes, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Parents traveling with small children can request cribs. Junior suites include kitchenettes and the Presidential suite adds on a wet bar and fireplace.
Tip Book one of the Executive Rooms to receive complimentary breakfast in a private lounge, but, more importantly, to score a room on a higher floor where you can survey the city and be blown away by breathtaking mountain views.
Bathroom
Bathrooms are bright with crisp lines, where brilliant white counters and subway tile walls again meet up with soft wood elements. All units contain a walk-in shower and Peter Thomas Roth bath products. The bathroom in the Presidential suite is enhanced by an oversized, deep soaking tub.
Lobby
The lobby is spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wide assortment of seating. Clothed in cream, white, and dark wood, next to the check-in counters guests can find nook seating, with individual fireplaces, for intimate conversations.
Pool
The indoor pool welcomes year-round enjoyment, with windows peeking into the fitness center next door.
Gym
A giant gym, befitting Denver’s third largest hotel, is full of equipment rivaling that of any health club. And, it’s open 24 hours.
Dining
The Hilton Denver City Center hosts an in-lobby Starbucks, open during the week from 5:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. The hotel restaurant and bar, Prospect’s Urban Kitchen & Bar, is open nightly until 11 p.m.; reservations can be made on OpenTable. Room service, including children’s menus and high chairs, is available 24 hours a day.

Parking is valet only, however, electric car charging stations are available on-site. House car service is offered for destinations within two miles. Nearby public transit options include the 16th Street Mall’s Free MallRide, a light rail station directly across the street, and a the free MetroRide that runs along 18th St. during peak morning and evening commute.
Restaurants
Enjoy a sweet or savory breakfast at Syrup (4-minute walk) or a power brunch or lunch . Local restaurateur Troy Guard’s eponymous Guard and Grace (1-minute walk)—the Grace is his daughter—is the spot for wood-fired foods, local grass-fed steaks, and a 4,000-bottle wine cellar. Around the corner another Denver dining kingpin, Frank Bonanno, launched bistro French 75 (3-minute walk), celebrating French food in a cozy, casual environment.
Bars
Family-friendly during the day, sports pub Back East Bar & Grill (6-minute walk) is a solid spot to grab a drink and watch your favorite team; the bar also hosts live music on Saturday nights. For an after-work beverage, take in Shelby’s Bar & Grill (3-minute walk), a no-frills, diamond-in-the-rough that’s in the only freestanding, single-story building in all of downtown.
