Colorado Chautauqua Association

Fodor's Review:

The association was founded in 1898 as part of the Chautauqua movement and still fulfills its charge to provide a venue for recreation and cultural and educational enrichment. The upgraded, fully furnished lodge rooms and cottages retain their unique historic charm and include linens and cooking utensils (in rooms with kitchens), but do not include daily housekeeping. The lawn is a terrific spot for a picnic on a sunny afternoon. The property is in Chautauqua Park at the foot of the Flatirons; myriad hiking trails take you into the mountains right from your front door. Pros: unique lodging; arts, dining, and recreation on property; well-kept cabins; amazing views of town and mountains. Cons: books very early, facilities fill with nonresidents for various events and dining.

  • Hotel Details: 22 rooms, 60 cottages
  • In-room: no phone, no TV, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: restaurant, tennis courts, some pets allowed.
  • Credit Cards: AE, MC, V
