Denver International Airport, known to locals as DIA (although its airport code is DEN), 23 miles northeast of downtown Denver, is the primary commercial passenger airport serving north central Colorado. Boulder, Fort Collins, and Granby have municipal airports but no commercial service.

Transfers

The Denver Airport’s Ground Transportation Information Center assists visitors with car rentals, door-to-door shuttles, public transportation, wheelchair services, charter buses, and limousine services. Boulder is approximately 45 miles (45 minutes to 1 hour) from Denver International Airport; Granby approximately 110 miles (a little more than 2 hours); Fort Collins approximately 80 miles (1¼ to 1½ hours); and Estes Park approximately 80 miles (about 2 hours).

Estes Park Shuttle (reservations essential) serves Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park from Denver, Denver International Airport, and Boulder. Super Shuttle serves Fort Collins. Home James serves Granby, Grand Lake, and the guest ranches of Grand County.
