Fodor's Review

Near the mouth of Boulder Canyon and the Boulder Creek Path, it seems far from Boulder's bustle, yet it's only a few minutes' walk from downtown. With its knotty-pine siding, bright red doors, and colorful flower boxes, this motel has a distinctive charm. The cabin-style rooms are simple but cozy (and quiet). Pets can board, too, for an extra $5 per night (there are no pets allowed in the suites).

Low price, great location, so-so digs

We've stayed here three times in the past couple of years. Beautiful location, and you're across the street from the park. Two caveats: Although the owners are helpful and pleasant, the rustic place doesn't seem as tidy. In the summer, the crowd can be a bit noisy.
