The Kitchen

The Kitchen Review

This unique bistro offers an elegant yet relaxed dinner with great service, and includes a casual wine and beer lounge on its second floor. Locals come in for "shared plates" during Community Hour (3 to 5:30 weekdays), a boardinghouse-like experience that provides the same great food and drinks at reduced prices. Exceptional entrees like the lamb sausage ravioli and the beef flank steak spotlight free-range meats and organic and seasonal local produce. Don't forget dessert: lemon tart with mascarpone and a glass of muscatel or the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and a cup of robust coffee are both heavenly. This combination of chic bistro and big-city hot spot can be a bit loud.
