Grand Lake Brewing Company Review

A handcrafted beer and a bratwurst with the works or a pulled chicken sandwich will hit the spot at this rustic brewpub outfitted with a tin ceiling and wooden bar with brass rails. Eat at the bar or at a table in the small but sunny dining area; the food is standard pub fare, inexpensive if uninspired. The beer's the real draw here. For example, the crisp and light White Cap Wheat is an unfiltered brew that tastes best with a slice of orange or lemon, while the Plaid Bastard, a rich Scotch ale served in a brandy snifter to highlight its deep aromas and flavors, really packs a punch (it's 8% alcohol). Can't decide? Try a flight—4 oz of each of the nine available beers—then take home a 64-oz growler as a memento of your visit. There's also a second location, at 9921 U.S. Highway 34.

    Absolutely Awesome

Their pizza was to die for and the beer was amazing. We got the sampler of all the beers and they were all terrific. My favorite was the Rebel pale ale. This is the coolest brew pub I've ever been to.
