Fodor's Review

A favorite of Boulder's many health-conscious athletes and world travelers, this restaurant is owned and run by Sherpas, and offers a voluminous menu with Himalayan favorites, like curry and tandoori chicken. It oozes mountain culture, with a cozy lounge that is both a bar and travel library, and a chef who has summited Everest 10 times. Owner Pemba Sherpa also offers guiding services in Nepal. The restaurant's service is some of the friendliest in town, but the pacing—much like a trek up Everest—can be woefully slow. As soon as you sit down, order the saag dip ($6), a creamy garlic, cumin, ginger, and spinach dish served with warm naan bread. Don't be afraid to try the yak, it's delicious.
