Fodor's Review

This 1909 beauty beckons with a soaring stained-glass ceiling and large helpings of Victorian charm in its gracious lobby. When choosing a room, opt for the historic building, with its spacious quarters filled with period antiques and reproductions. The north (newer) wing is also plush and comfortable but has less historic charm. Rooms with mountain views are available on request. The hotel has two restaurants: Spruce Farm & Fish ($$$) features nouvelle farm-to-table–style cuisine with an emphasis on fish, while the Corner Bar ($$) serves a less formal lunch and dinner. Downstairs, the speakeasy-style License No. 1 bar is always hopping, and has live music or DJs three nights a week. Guests have access to the nearby health club, One Boulder Fitness.
