Fodor's Expert Review Redstone Inn

Built in 1902 as a boarding house for coal miners, the Swiss chalet–like Redstone Inn offers basic accommodations near downtown shops and galleries. Guest rooms are small with nondescript furnishings, but provide a clean, cozy base for sightseeing and adventuring in the Elk Mountains. Some rooms, including the inexpensive one in the working clock tower, have shared baths.
