St. Regis Aspen Resort Review

A longtime fixture in Aspen, the St. Regis Aspen resembles a stately yet contemporary mountain chalet. The lobby and library feature rich wood panels and modern furnishings. The grey and brown rooms have large leather-frame beds, sophisticated flannel chairs, and hardwood floors. The bathrooms are equally elegant, with gray marble tile and polished silver fixtures. The Remède Spa has 15 treatment rooms and an oxygen lounge. The fine-dining Chefs Club features select dishes from Food & Wine's best new chefs. Proud of its rituals, the St. Regis offers Après Tea Buffet (custom hot chocolate is also available), late afternoon Champagne sabering, and its "Downhill Snapper"—the hotel's proprietary Bloody Mary.

    St. Regis Resort, Aspen Review

I am certain this has been my worse experience in a 5* hotel, and I spend 70% of my time on the road, so have way too many to compare with. The so-called One Bdrm Suite is more like a small Jr Suite - we had to take the coffe table out to accommodate a room service cart! The room service bkfst is not delivered on time, the sofa bed is not made, the bathromm is not cleaned at turn down. The only redeming fact of this place is the concierge service, which is the only thing deserving 5*
