Fodor's Review

Value-priced for couples and families, the Sunlight Mountain Inn is a traditional ski lodge a few hundred feet from the Sunlight Mountain Resort lifts. It brims with rustic cabin ambiance, from buffalo paintings and moose-patterened pillows in the lobby to pine-board walls and wrought-iron beds in the cozy rooms. The restaurant, open in winter only, offers Southern-style BBQ with all the fixings: hickory-smoked meats with black-eyed peas, green beans, macaroni and cheese,

and potato salad. This is a true get-away-from-it-all place; only one room has a small TV (guests can gather in a communal television lounge). The full breakfast is included year-round; a hot tub, pool table, game room, and kids' play area offer on-site diversions.
