This hotel is a memorable one, even by Aspen's exacting standards. The posh reception area is comfortably furnished with overstuffed chairs, soft suede pillows, leather-top tables, and rawhide lamp shades. The rooms follow suit with dark-wood furniture, muted colors, and signature touches like bowls of fresh fruit. Luxurious baths are stocked with Remède toiletries. The new Remède Spa has 15 treatment rooms and a reclining oxygen bar. Pros: one of Aspen's most luxurious properties, close to the slopes, world-class spa. Cons: expensive, rooms are small, only valet parking.
