Wienerstube means "living room" in Austrian German, and that's exactly what this modest breakfast eatery feels like. Founder Gerhard grew up in Villach, Austria, and brought some Bohemian flair to the Aspen restaurant scene in 1965. In one corner is the Stammtisch, a large community table where old-time ski legends pass the syrup and spin tall tales of skiing in Aspen "before it was Aspen." Ski patrollers claim the Wienerstube has the best Bloody Marys in town, and the eggs Benedict menu features four versions including the famed West Coaster—avocado, bacon, asparagus, and hollandaise sauce over eggs and an English muffin.
