Slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the Village Mall, this inn hides its true character behind a boxy exterior. It's one of the nicest lodging options in Snowmass. The lobby and bar are streamlined and elegant with mood lighting and contemporary furniture. The cozy, window-ringed Artisan restaurant offers simple, hearty preparations of the freshest regional ingredients. There's also an inexpensive bar menu. A continental breakfast is included. Rooms, all with two queen beds, aren't fancy, but are comfortably appointed; the adjacent two- and four-bedroom Tamarack Townhouses are also available. Ask about "stay and ski" packages. Pros: quiet location, good on-site restaurant, town-house options for families. Con: must catch a shuttle to lifts.
