Piñons

Piñons Review

Romantic and sophisticated, Piñons attracts a primarily overforty crowd. Its second-story location removes you from the hustle of downtown while also providing great views. The Southwestern ranch-style dining room harks back to the monied saloon days, with leather-wrapped railings, a faux-tin ceiling, and upholstered walls. The contemporary American menu scores high on creativity. Try the duck quesadilla appetizer, a Southwestern surprise from chef-owner Rob Mobilian, or (as an entrée) the pan-seared buffalo tenderloin with huckleberry sauce. The service and wine list are impeccable. The interior tends to fill up fast, but you can always eat at the bar or on the cozy patio when it's nice outside.
