Fodor's Review:
It's worth the 30-minute drive from Mammoth Lakes to get to this updated 1922 roadhouse. Impeccably decorated with Stickley furniture and contemporary crafts, the dining room has drop-dead 180-degree views of Mono Lake through big picture windows. During a full moon, the glow on the water is magical. The adeptly prepared menu leans toward comfort foods, with an occasional flourish; dishes include braised lamb shank, flat-iron steak with homemade french fries, and duck confit. There's also a good burger. The lovely owner, Sarah Adams, is Ansel Adams' granddaughter, and the master photographer's work adorns the walls.
