Fodor's Review

This 1879 National Historic Landmark at Yosemite's southern end is an old-fashioned New England–style estate, with whitewashed buildings, wraparound verandas, and pleasant, no-frills rooms decorated with period pieces. About half the rooms share bathrooms; those that do come equipped with robes. The romantic, candlelit dining room lies across the lobby from the cozy Victorian parlor, which has a fireplace, board games, and a piano, where a pianist plays most evenings.

Wawona Hotel : Comfortable and Quiet

A nice place for a day or 2 to get away from the congested valley. Enjoy the pool, read a book, take a short walk around the grounds, ride a horse,or play a round of golf. We enjoyed sitting on porch, having a drink, and people watch and read. Stay here for the atmosphere and to relax, not if you need lots of activities. Adult oriented.
