Ahwahneechee Village

  • Address: Northside Dr., Yosemite Village, CA | Map It

Fodor's Review:

Tucked behind the Valley Visitor Center, a short loop trail of about 100 yards circles through a re-creation of an Ahwahneechee Native American village as it might have appeared in 1872, 21 years after the Native Americans' first contact with Europeans. Markers explain the lifestyle of Yosemite's first residents. Allow 30 minutes to see it all.
