Fodor's Review:

If you want to be within walking distance of the Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge, this is the place. In winter check your skis with the concierge, pick them up in the morning, and head directly to the lifts. In summer the proximity to the gondola means you can hike and mountain bike to your heart's delight. The accommodations, which vary in size, include standard hotel rooms and condo units; the latter have kitchenettes, and many have lofts. The inn has licensed on-site child care in winter. Pros: Great location, big rooms are really big, a traditional place to stay. Cons: Can be crowded in ski season, has seen better days.

Had a two night stay in March 2008, and was very disappointed across the board. This inn is more reminiscent of a college dorm than a resort inn. Stayed in the east annex and had to lug gear from the unpaid parking. The bedspreads were filthy and room service didn't bother to remove/restock coffee or water glasses. Many of the floors common areas smelled of mold/mildew. The inn's location could be considered a plus due to its proximity to the gondola but it is remote (about 4 miles) from the main action of Mammoth center. The inn charged a $28 reservation fee for a two night stay which I found shocking considering I booked on-line and also this fee added more than 20% to the total cost of the room on top of all the taxes. Stayed in Mammoth many times and never had to pay a reservation fee and had great experiences at lesser know locales. The inn is out!!!
